Elevate your game at the Nike Ultimate Camp at University of Minnesota. This day camp in Minneapolis, MN is geared towards youth ultimate boys and girls of all abilities and offers a High School and Middle School program to accommodate all ages.

The Nike Ultimate Camp at the University of Minnesota is a youth ultimate camp lead by vastly experienced and passionate coaches. Players will gain important fundamentals and techniques to aid in each camper's success in ultimate and in life! Come learn in a motivating and fun environment this summer of 2016!

Sarah Anciaux
Camp Director

Sarah Anciaux

Sarah Anciaux will represent the United States this summer on the women’s national team at the 2016 WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championships (WUGC)! She currently plays for the UMN women's ultimate team, Ninjas. She is a former captain and 2014 First Team All-Region player and their team made it to nationals is 2013.

Sarah also plays on the Twin Cities mixed club team, Drag'n Thrust, who won nationals in 2014 and 2015!

In addition to her ultimate background, Anciaux has years of athletic experience under her belt, ranging from an NCAA D-III sweet sixteen basketball appearance to being an All-American in track and field. Years of dedication to athletics and previous coaching experience helps her bring a knowledge of sports theory and camp organization to the table.

Anciaux has always been an advocate for youths to excel both on the field and off, and is excited to offer this new outlet for youth ultimate players in her community.

Sarah is currently enrolled in the chemistry PhD program at the University of Minnesota.

Brian Schoenrock

Brian Schoenrock

Brian “Strings” Schoenrock has been playing ultimate for 7 years. He started playing ultimate as a freshman at Minnesota State University, Mankato and was a captain there his senior season.

This season will be Brian’s fourth season playing with the elite mixed team Drag’n Thrust and his third season playing professionally in the AUDL with the Minnesota Wind Chill.

Brian has been a big contributor on Drag’n Thrust which has won two National Club Championships in a row, as well as a World Championship last season. Brian received the Individual Spirit Award for Drag’n Thrust at the 2014 National Club Championships. He is excited to bring the knowledge he has obtained to all the young athletes who have picked up the game so early in life. He wishes he had learned about ultimate in high school and had the chance to start honing his skills years ago.

Brian teaches Math at the Mathnasium Learning Center in Plymouth, MN. He has worked with Mathnasium for 6 years and currently runs the Plymouth location.

Mike Clark is a Natural Resource Science and Management PhD student at the University of Minnesota. He played for Carleton College's CUT from 2009-2012, winning two national championships, making three finals appearances, and four semi-finals appearances. He has played for multiple Twin Cities mixed teams including Tron Paul and the Gold Standard, Bird, and most recently the national champions, Drag'n Thrust. 

Mike grew up playing soccer and running cross country, and has coached both sports previously. He is excited to coach ultimate, and is looking forward to helping youth ultimate players develop their knowledge of the game.

Camp Details

2016 Camp Information

We are offering one week of camp this year at the University of Minnesota for players ages 10-18 of all skill levels. The Middle School program is geared towards players ages 10-13 and the High School program is geared towards players ages 14-18. The programs run side by side from 9:00am-4:00pm daily.

Skill Levels

Our camp is open to players of all ability and experience levels.

Age/Grade Parameters

The Middle School Camp is open to players ages 10-13, incoming 6th graders through 8th graders. The High School Camp is open to players ages 14-18, incoming 9th graders through just graduated 12th graders.

Gender Parameters

Our camps are open to both boys and girls. Some instruction and play will be done in a mixed environment and some will be done in a single gender environment. 

Daily Instruction & Themes

  • Day 1: Catching and Throwing
  • Day 2: Man to Man Defense: The Mark, Handler D and Cutter D
  • Day 3: Offensive Cutting: Handler and Downfield
  • Day 4: Zone O and D
  • Day 5: Wrap Up and Review

Daily Schedule

  • Monday-Friday: Arrive at the Student Recreation Sports Dome at 8:45am. Instruction begins at 9:00am. Depart at 4:00pm from the Student Recreation Sports Dome.
  • Friday: There will be an awards ceremony on Friday at 3:30pm at the Student Recreation Sports Dome.  Parents are invited to attend. Check-out will be at 4:00pm.


Campers bring their own lunch each day, but lunch is supervised. Campers should bring snacks and drinks as well.


Camper will utilize the Student Recreational Sports Dome during camp. (1720 8th St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455)

Staff/Camper Ratio

We provide a ratio of 1 staff member for every 10 campers. This ensures lots of one-on-one attention and teaching for each camper.


Our camp counselors and staff are hand-selected based on their ability to lead and supervise. In the event of an emergency, campers will be transported to a local hospital.


Nike Ultimate Camps does not provide transportation to/from camp from airport, train stations or bus depots. You will have to arrange transportation to/from camp. Please call 1-800-645-3226 two weeks prior to camp to provide camper’s flight and shuttle information.

Registration Packet

A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
