US Sports Camps ADA Accommodations Policy

Purpose: US Sports Camps is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all participants. This policy outlines the procedures for requesting and providing accommodations for individuals with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Scope: This policy applies to all participants, parents, guardians, and staff involved in US Sports Camps.

Policy:

Requesting Accommodations:

• Participants requiring special accommodations should submit their requests at least four (4) weeks prior to the start date of the camp. This advance notice allows us to make necessary arrangements to support the needs of all participants.
• Accommodation requests must be made by completing the US Sports Camps Accommodations Request Form.

Details of the Request:

• The accommodation request should include specific details of the participant’s needs, including the nature of the disability and the type of accommodation being requested.

Review and Assessment:

• Upon receiving the accommodation request submission, the Accommodations Requests Committee will review and assess the feasibility of providing the requested accommodation.
• A member of the Accommodations Requests Committee may contact the participant or their guardian for additional information or clarification if necessary.

Response and Implementation:

• An Accommodations Request Committee member will respond to the accommodation request form submitter within ten (10) business days of receipt. The response will include a determination of the accommodations that can be provided, if any.
• An Accommodations Request Committee member will work with camp staff to implement any approved accommodations and ensure they are in place for necessary hours during camp.

Late Requests:

• While US Sports Camps will make every effort to accommodate late requests, we cannot guarantee that accommodations will be available for requests submitted less than four (4) weeks before the start date of the camp.

Confidentiality:

• All accommodation requests and related documentation will be kept confidential and shared only with those directly involved in the accommodation process.
