WHAT FAMILIES SAY ABOUT Cal Kids Basketball Camp
28 Reviews
I loved that the UC Berekely basketball players, both from previous teams to the current team, attended and helped give guidance to future players. It gave me new inspiration and love for the sport. I also liked how it allowed parents and coaches to come watch and observe to be a part of the adventure. Thank you so much for this awesome experience, I can't wait to tell my coach and friends all about this awesome camp and my adventure.
I think my favorite part of the camp was actually putting on the player jerseys and having a mini photo shoot. The whole day inspired me to continue to pursue basketball with excellence so that I can be a mentor like these women were for me that day!
We did both the boys and the girls camp and the women running the girls camp did an amazing job. I loved that there was aftercare and the drop off and pick up in back of the gym were super helpful. My daughter was excited to go everyday and came home wanting to do her homework. Thank you for a great week!
I loved the way the players engaged the kids. My daughter has asked me at least 10 times to get her on a basketball team and given me a deadline for doing it. I just hope she doesn't quit playing tennis!
It was so awesome, inspiring and motivational to be coached by actual girls from the Cal Berkeley team-so cool! It was just so much fun! and I could really be me here.
She came out of the Gym smiling and said she had fun. That’s Big!!!! Milan enjoyed the Video portion at the end
Cristina loved the competitive and fun environment. She loved learning new ways to finish when attacking the basket. Overall it was a great camp and we will be back next year.

Exciting and encouraging coaches!
Being coached by the Cal coaching staff and team at their facility.
The camp was extremely well organized. My camper made friends, learned basketball skills, got to see campus and met college student athletes who she now looks up to and hopes to become.
We loved the coaches! My daughter came away so energized!
My kid, never having touched a basketball before this camp, left on the last day loving the sport.
The highlight was getting my shy 15yr old out of her comfort zone and seeing her interact with her peers and laugh and learn a lot about the college basketball experience.
Cal WBB players coached alongside team coaches. Great energy, direction and feedback from everyone. My daughter loved learning from the players.
The highlight was how nice and engaging the coaches were. It made the experience fun and comfortable for my daughter.
My daughter loved the opportunity to meet and learn from the staff and players at Berkeley.
We loved the connection the coaches made with the girls and specific skills they taught.
Great staff, solid program, nice combination of skill training, fun, and relationship building.
Jada enjoyed it to the fullest. She took in a lot of information and with this experience it has taught her different skills. Jada mentioned what she got from Cal Berkeley's camp is always motivate your team members while on or off the court.

Tai enjoyed every aspect of the Cal Bear for a day camp. So the whole experience was a long highlight. From the initial meet and greet, to the drills, to lunch and meeting with the coaches after the camp. Overall Tai had a great experience.
The camp was amazing once again! My daughter had a wonderful time and didn’t want to leave at the end of each day. Each evening she had a new homework assignment that made her think, research, and learn. Coach Jill is super organized and extremely responsive. The coaches are warm and welcoming in the mornings and super fun throughout the day. Maleika and I both wish there was another week of camp! We will be back next year!
My daughter was not aware the coaches were members of the Cal B-ball team. She was so happy to meet real basketball players as she put it. She hung the poster on her wall in her bedroom.
Cal players and coaches all terrific. My daughter is still talking about them.
Had fun, coaches really taught me some things I didn't know. Thank you all!
My favorite part of the Bear for a Day Camp was when we were able to watch film with the head coach. I also enjoyed talking to the camp staff and players and asking them questions on how they became a Cal Bear. Lastly, I thought the strength and conditioning part was really good.
