Join us this summer for the Nike Basketball Camp at Colonie Central High School, led by the experienced coaching staff of Dags Basketball. This camp is designed for players of all skill levels who want to improve their game in a positive, high-energy environment.

    Camp Director

    Steve Dags is considered one of the top basketball trainers in the country and it shows. His track record of accomplished clients include NBA Players, D1 to D3 College Players.

    He is a Court Coach for USA Basketball's Junior National Team, and runs NBA Pre Draft workouts for players entering the NBA Draft.

    Shea Bromirski has been a Director of Dags Workouts and Camps since 2010. Coach Shea is currently the Head Varsity Coach at Saratoga Catholic Central High School.

    Prior to that he was an Assistant College Coach at Southern Vermont and The College of Saint Rose. As a player Shea averaged over 30 ppg in High School, went on to earn a Scholarship to The College of Saint Rose where he was an All-Conference Player. Shea is a passionate teacher that loves developing players and pushing them to be their best. Players love Shea because he is ultra competitive!

  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers depart before lunch.

Dags Basketball has over 15 years of experience running Youth Camps and Clinics on the East Coast. We pride ourselves on providing a positive atmosphere in which young players can learn the game, compete, and experience all the things that make youth sports great. Your child will Learn, Play, Fail, Win, and Lose, over and over again. We look to develop more than just basketball skills at our camps! Our Camps are for Boys and Girls!

Dags Advanced clinics are Half Day sessions crammed with Skill Development, Small Sided Games, and High level instruction. These clinics are for players that truly want to improve their game and are willing to put in the time, focus, and energy necessary to make it happen! Players will be exposed to the same Skills, Drills, and Methods that we use wtih our NBA and College Players!

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

BASKETBALLS

Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not recommended to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

PACKING LIST

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
