Elevate your game in San Marcos, CA in summer 2026! Join Head Coach Brady Bergeson and the CSU San Marcos Men's Basketball staff for the Complete Skills Camp at Play by Play Sports Facility. Open to boys of all abilities, this week-long program is packed with high-energy drills, supportive instruction, and scrimmages—all designed to refine your skills, improve court confidence, and maximize your basketball IQ.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Brady Bergeson was announced as the fourth head coach in the history of the Cal State San Marcos men's basketball program on June 30, 2025.

    Bergeson came to CSUSM from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, where he was the Rangers’ head coach since 2015. In his time there, Bergeson tallied a 164-121 record (.575) with two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, eight RMAC Tournament appearances, one RMAC Tournament Championship and four 20-win seasons.

    Prior to Regis, Bergeson’s first stop as a head coach was at Western Oregon from 2011 to 2015, posting a 69-45 record (.605). In his final season there in 2014-15, Bergeson led the Wolves to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and GNAC Conference Championship while being named the GNAC Coach of the Year.

    Before becoming a head coach, Bergeson was an assistant coach at Sacramento State (2008-11) and Metro State (2002-08). In his time at Metro State, he helped coach the Roadrunners to five NCAA Tournament appearances, including the Final Four in 2004 and the Elite Eight in 2005.

    A product of Mark Morris High School in Longview, Washington, Bergeson graduated with honors from Chapman University in 2000, earning a bachelor’s in Psychology while being a four-year varsity point guard, team captain and Student-Athlete of the Year for the Panthers. Bergeson later earned his master’s in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding from Cal State Dominguez Hills in 2007.

    Bergeson and his wife Brooke have three children: Dash, Pilot and Clutch.

AUGUST 3-7, 2026

  • Check-in: Monday at 8:30am
  • Check-out: Friday at 11:30am
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
  • Daily Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM, FRI 9AM-12PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
