Camp Director Matt Vega
Matt Vega enters his 4th year as the Boys Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach at Midwest High School and his 16th year overall in coaching. With a deep passion for player development and team success, Coach Vega has made a significant impact at both high school and collegiate levels. During the summer he is the Head Coach for 24MD Team Daum National Girls team. 24MD is comprised of the best players from Wyoming, Colorado, and Nebraska. Many of the players have moved on to play collegiate basketball. Prior to joining Midwest High School, Vega served as the Women’s Assistant Basketball Coach at Casper College, where he helped guide the team to 4th and 9th place finishes nationally in consecutive seasons. During his five-year tenure, he played a key role in developing talent, training three NJCAA All-Americans in back-to-back years. Following his time at Casper, he became the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Platte Valley High School (CO), leading the Lady Broncos to two consecutive State Tournament appearances.
