This day camp in Springfield, MO, features engaging drills, exciting games, and expert instruction designed to help you sharpen your skills and elevate your performance. The Basketball Academy Camp is designed for athletes that are serious about raising their game to the next level. The RYG Athletics Basketball Academy combines classroom and court time to teach athletes (ages 10-14) the leadership, mindset, and basketball skills they need to thrive. The camp features two classroom sessions a day that dive into leadership, mindset, basketball principles of play and film. The twice daily court sessions give athletes the opportunity to immediately put into practice the things they're learning in the classroom in a fun, challenging, and competitive environment.
The Jr. Basketball Camp is designed for younger campers that are new to the sport. Campers receive an introduction to basketball and will learn basic concepts, terminology, and gross motor movements to help improve their skills and confidence.

- Basketball Academy: Two court sessions per day featuring competitive games, drills, and individual skill development
- Basketball Academy: Two classroom sessions per day diving into leadership skills, mindset skills, and basketball skills and film

Hunter Shannon has been coaching basketball for over 15 years at various levels, including junior high, high school, and on the summer circuit.

Camp Director Nick Bonifay
Nick is an Assistant Coach at the University of Montevallo, a Division II program competing in one of the most competitive conferences in the country. He played five years at Oklahoma City University, serving as a two-year team captain and earning Academic All-American honors all five seasons. He also received the Coaches Award in 2023–24 and 2024–25, recognizing his excellence in academics, leadership, community involvement, and work ethic.

Co-Director Jordan Grant
Jordan is the Head Coach of the Link Year Prep National Team. Jordan has been coaching the last seven years at Link Academy in Brandon, Missouri.

Co Director Garrett Luinstra
He currently serves as an assistant coach at Link Academy with their Post Grad Program in Branson, Missouri. During his tenure, Link Academy has made two National Prep Tournament appearances. He has coached over 15 NCAA Division I players, along with 15 other athletes who earned scholarships at various collegiate levels.

Basketball Academy CAMPER HOURS
- Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
- Closing Ceremony: Friday at 12PM
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
- Daily Camp Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM, FRI 9AM-12:30PM
JR. BASKETBALL CAMPER HOURS
- Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
- Closing Ceremony: Friday at 12PM
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers will depart prior to lunch.
- Half Day Hours: MON-FRI 9AM-12PM
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
- Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
- Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
- Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp
INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
- Facility: Indoor courts
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
LATE PICKUP/SUPERVISED SCRIMMAGES
Late Pickup/Supervised Scrimmages is offered from 3pm-4pm, Monday-Thursday for $55 for the week. This option can be added on during registration. Please note, this option is only offered for Complete Skills campers.
BASKETBALLS
Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST
To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!
PACKING LIST
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
COMPANY POLICIES
If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
