Improve your skills, learn offensive and defensive fundamentals, compete, and have some fun with Coach Nick Nichay, Head Coach of Franklin & Marshall Men's Basketball. This boys only summer 2025 camp offers a fun and encouraging environment for all abilities to fine-tune your current skill set and learn new techniques to get you ahead of the competition.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Nick Nichay

    Camp Director

    Nick Nichay will enter his fifth season as head coach of the Diplomats during the 2023-24 season. Nichay was elevated to head coach in the spring of 2020. He served as the Interim Head Coach at the start of the 2019-20 season after spending the previous seven seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the Franklin & Marshall men’s basketball team.

    As an assistant, Nichay oversaw several aspects of the program relating to recruiting, player development, scouting, academic advisement, and general day to day operations of the program. Nichay has served as the recruiting coordinator since his arrival in September of 2012. He has served in the head coach capacity on two separate occasions during the previous two years, leading the team to a 10-4 mark during that span with two wins over top-10 teams.

    During his time as an assistant at F&M, Nichay helped guide the team to a 156-61 record. In that time the team qualified for the Centennial Conference (CC) playoffs in all eight seasons, winning the regular conference championship on two occasions and finishing with a share of second place three times. The 2017-18 team earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Sweet 16 and finishing the year ranked 20th in the nation. The team also achieved at a high level in the classroom and was recognized by the NABC with the Team Academic Excellence Award for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. In the 2015-16 season, the program won both the regular season and conference tournament championships on the way to an automatic NCAA Tournament bid.

    In addition to his roles as an assistant coach, Nichay has worked several camps in recent years. Camps, where he has worked as a counselor, include the Hoop Group, Princeton, Penn, and Columbia elite camps. He is also the Director of the Elite Camp at Franklin & Marshall.

    Matt Walsh has joined the Franklin & Marshall men’s basketball coaching staff for the 2022-23 season.

    For the past two years, Walsh has been working as a basketball coach with the International Sports Academy. He accepted that position after a year in the collegiate ranks where he spent a season as an assistant coach at nearby Elizabethtown College.

    Walsh is a 2020 graduate of the Hobart and William Smith Colleges where he earned his degree in history. He appeared in 80 games during his playing career and scored 529 points. He connected on 91 career three-pointers while also grabbing 269 rebounds. Walsh’s efforts helped Hobart win the 2018 Liberty League regular season championship before advancing to the NCAA Tournament during his senior year in 2020 where the team’s season was cut short after advancing to the Sweet 16. Walsh prepped at nearby Manheim Central High School were he was a 1,000 point scorer who earned all-league and all-district honors.

    AJ Bajana joined the Franklin & Marshall men’s basketball coaching staff prior to the 2023-24 season. Bajana is a 2020 graduate of Johnson & Wales with a bachelor of science degree in sports, entertainment, event – management.

    While at Johnson & Wales, Bajana was part of a team that made two Great Northeast Athletic Conference playoff appearances and an NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 2018.

    Off the court, he was also named to the National College Athlete Honor Society at Johnson & Wales. Following his intercollegiate career, Bajana also trained NBA G League players and numerous overseas professional athletes.

    Prior to joining the Diplomats’ coaching staff, Bajana spent two years at The City College of New York where he helped lead the Beavers to an appearance in the SUNYAC semifinals and the program's best record since the 2016-17 season. During that record-breaking season, Bajana coached one player who was a first-team all-conference and second-team All-MET selection. In addition to his college coaching experience, Bajana has a diverse background that includes working as a basketball coach with Play for Peace Tour, Marquee Hoops, Made Hoops, Hoop Group, Nike, and various NBA camps. He additionally coaches on the AAU circut with the 6th Boro Hoops based out of West Chester.

JUNE 23-26, 2025

  • Check-in: Monday at 8:30am
  • Closing Ceremony: Thursday at 3:30pm
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
  • Daily Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-4PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

TEAM DISCOUNT

If you have a group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 10 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $40 discount. Please fill out the Team Discount - Basketball form with the name of your group and the names of each camper enrolling in the camp and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

POST CAMP AFTER CARE

There is an option to purchase post camp after care at registration. It will run Monday-Thursday, from 4pm-5pm, and be $40 (for all 4 days). Camp staff will provide additional shooting and skill work during the after care.

BASKETBALLS

Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
