This boys only summer 2023 camp offers a fun and encouraging environment for all abilities to fine-tune your current skill set and learn new techniques to get you ahead of the competition.
The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

Camp Director Nick Nichay
Nick Nichay will enter his fourth season as head coach of the Diplomats during the 2022-23 season. Nichay was elevated to head coach in the spring of 2020. He served as the Interim Head Coach at the start of the 2019-20 season after spending the previous seven seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the Franklin & Marshall men’s basketball team.View Nick's Bio ⟩
As an assistant, Nichay oversaw several aspects of the program relating to recruiting, player development, scouting, academic advisement, and general day to day operations of the program. Nichay has served as the recruiting coordinator since his arrival in September of 2012. He has served in the head coach capacity on two separate occasions during the previous two years, leading the team to a 10-4 mark during that span with two wins over top-10 teams.
During his time as an assistant at F&M, Nichay helped guide the team to a 156-61 record. In that time the team qualified for the Centennial Conference (CC) playoffs in all eight seasons, winning the regular conference championship on two occasions and finishing with a share of second place three times. The 2017-18 team earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Sweet 16 and finishing the year ranked 20th in the nation. The team also achieved at a high level in the classroom and was recognized by the NABC with the Team Academic Excellence Award for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. In the 2015-16 season, the program won both the regular season and conference tournament championships on the way to an automatic NCAA Tournament bid.
In addition to his roles as an assistant coach, Nichay has worked several camps in recent years. Camps, where he has worked as a counselor, include the Hoop Group, Princeton, Penn, and Columbia elite camps. He is also the Director of the Elite Camp at Franklin & Marshall.
Assistant Coach Nick Monroe
Nick Monroe joined the Franklin & Marshall coaching staff prior to the start of the 2018-19 season and is entering his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Diplomats during the 2022-23 academic year.View Nick's Bio ⟩
Prior to arriving at Franklin & Marshall, Monroe served as the Graduate Assistant at Lancaster Bible College from 2016-2018. In his role, Monroe served as the recruiting coordinator and the JV coach. His day-to-day responsibilities included scouting, skill development, academic monitoring, and recruiting. Monroe has coached five NEAC All-Conference players and amassed a 37-20 record as a GA for Lancaster Bible with one NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018.
Monroe also worked with the Global Squad AAU program from 2014-2017, helping over 150 student-athletes be recruited to Division I, II, III colleges and universities.
As a player at Lancaster Bible, Monroe was part of a team that in 2016 that went 27-1, ranked 14th in the country, and appeared in the 2016 NCAA tournament. He was also a two-time NEAC All-Academic Team honoree.
Monroe received his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management in 2016 from Lancaster Bible before completing his Master's in Organizational Leadership in 2018.
Assistant Coach Matt Walsh
Matt Walsh has joined the Franklin & Marshall men’s basketball coaching staff for the 2022-23 season.View Matt's Bio ⟩
For the past year, Walsh has been working as a basketball coach with the International Sports Academy. He accepted that position after a year in the collegiate ranks where he spent a season as an assistant coach at nearby Elizabethtown College.
Walsh is a 2020 graduate of the Hobart and William Smith Colleges where he earned his degree in history. He appeared in 80 games during his playing career and scored 529 points. He connected a 91 career three-pointers while also grabbing 269 rebounds. Walsh’s efforts helped Hobart win the 2018 Liberty League regular season championship before advancing to the NCAA Tournament during his senior year in 2020 where the team’s season was cut short after advancing to the Sweet 16. Walsh prepped at nearby Manheim Central High School were he was a 1,000 point scorer who earned all-league and all-district honors.

POST CAMP AFTER CARE
There is an option to purchase post camp after care at registration. It will run Monday-Thursday, from 4pm-5pm, and be $40 (for all 4 days). Camp staff will provide additional shooting and skill work during the after care.

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

Campers will utilize the Mayser Gymnasium which is home to the Franklin & Marshall College basketball team.
