Join Ryan Robie and staff at Kauffman High School for an unforgettable basketball experience in summer 2026! This day camp in Kansas City, MO, features engaging drills, exciting games, and expert instruction designed to help you sharpen your skills and elevate your performance. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, compete, and have fun!

This camp is open only to campers who have been awarded a scholarship to attend. Registration is limited to approved scholarship recipients, and a valid scholarship is required to enroll.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Ryan Robie

    Camp Director

    Coach Ryan Robie is currently serving as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at De Soto High School, where he is currently in his 11th year leading the Wildcats program. Over the course of his career, Coach Robie has amassed more than 150 wins and established De Soto as one of the most consistent and competitive programs in the region.

    His leadership and impact have been recognized at both the conference and state levels. Coach Robie was named the Eddie Ryan Coach of the Year (an award that recognizes the top coach of impact in the KS/MO metro) by the Greater Kansas City Coaches Association in 2024 and earned United Kansas Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2020. In 2025, he was selected as a Kansas Coach of the Year finalist, and he has been chosen to coach the Kansas All-Star Game twice during his career.

    Under his direction, the De Soto program has advanced to the Kansas State Tournament five times in ten seasons, reflecting a sustained commitment to player development, team culture, and competitive excellence.

    Beyond the high school season, Coach Robie brings extensive experience in player development through his work with PGC Basketball, where he has served as a summer director for the past five years. In that role, he has led 1000+ athletes through a five-day immersive basketball experience, focusing on skill development, decision-making, and leadership growth.

    At the core of Coach Robie’s coaching philosophy is a passion for supporting athletes throughout their basketball journey. He believes basketball is a powerful tool for creating core memories, building confidence, and developing not only strong players—but strong leaders and great people. His approach emphasizes growth, accountability, and using the game as a platform to positively impact athletes on and off the court.

    RYG Athletics operates some of the country's highest-rated NIKE Sports Camps each summer, serving hundreds of athletes across various sports. These camps intentionally integrate leadership and mindset training into all sessions, helping athletes grow as people and players.

    Luke is a passionate advocate for restoring joy in sports. He has a decade of experience coaching multiple sports and over 15 years working in the summer camp space. Holding bachelor's and master's degrees in education, Luke is dedicated to using sports as a vehicle for teaching leadership and mindset skills that help athletes thrive in both sport and life.

    Beyond RYG Athletics, Luke also created and hosts The Cutting Edge Coaching Podcast, where he has conducted over 100 interviews with top coaches, sports psychologists, experts, and leaders on effective coaching.

    Additionally, Luke delivered a TEDx talk titled, The Missing Ingredient in Youth Sports where he outlined how we can provide better experiences in sport to youth athletes.

    Luke holds a bachelors and masters degree in education. He lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife and three young children.

JUNE 29-July 3, 2026

  • Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
  • Closing Ceremony: Friday at 12PM
  • Meals: Lunch is provided.
  • Daily Camp Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM, FRI 9AM-12:30PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is provided.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

PACKING LIST

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
