at Nike Basketball Camps

Improve your basketball game in North Chesterfield at Meadowbrook High School. This summer's 2026 camp offers a boys and girls camp to help improve your shooting accuracy, ball-handling, and team play skills. Train with the General Manager of the Maine Celtics, Jarell Christian, and his staff and make long-lasting friendships.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    For the last two seasons Jarell has served as the General Manager of the Maine Celtics, the NBA G League affiliate of the Boston Celtics, Pro Personnel Scout, and Player Development Coach with the Boston Celtics.

    During the 2021-2022 Christian was named the Head Coach of the Maine Celtics which produced 7 Call-Ups to the NBA, 2 of which are the Boston Celtics key reserves, Sam Hauser and Luke Kornet. Other notable names that received call-ups were that season were NCAA National Champions Ryan Arcidiacano and Theo Pinson.

    Prior to joining the Celtics organization Christian was as an Assistant Coach with the Washington Wizards for 2 seasons and their G League affiliate (Capital City Go-Go) Head Coach for their 2018-2019 inaugural season. From 2014-2018 Christian was a part of the Oklahoma City Thunder organization in a variety of roles. These roles included working with players such as Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, Kendrick Perkins, and others.

    Before Christian got his start in the NBA, he was an Assistant Coach at three different colleges: Randolph-Macon College, Emory & Henry College, and Tusculum University. A 2009 Graduate of Emory & Henry College where he played for legendary coach Bob Johnson. Christian is also a proud graduate of New Kent High School, located in New Kent, Virginia.

    Jarell comes from a family of coaches and educators in the state of Virginia. His Father John Christian is a long-time coach & teacher at Charles City High School. His Mother is a retired educator after 30+ years in New Kent County Public Schools. And his elder brother, Jamion has been coaching at various levels for the last 20 years all ranging from AAU (Team Richmond) to overseas professional clubs.

    Coach Crane, a dynamic leader and devoted family man, brings over 15 years of coaching experience to the court. His coaching philosophy, rooted in the 3 C's - Character, Communication, and Community, has left a lasting impact on players and teams alike.

    He is owner/founder of Strive For Perfection Athletics and Elite5050. Currently serving as the Director of Total Team Commitment (TTC), Coach Crane impacts the DMV community by nurturing the 7 teams within the program, fostering a culture of excellence and community engagement.

    Additionally, as the creator of the SFP Middle School All-Star weekend, which attracts hundreds of youth from across the country every year, Coach Crane continues to showcase his commitment to developing young talent on a national scale.

    He also played a pivotal role in propelling Team Felton to national recognition, solidifying their status as a basketball powerhouse during its beginning stages. Coach Crane has also served on Team Richmond staff, a long lasting program that continues to develop players to get ready for the next level.

Camp Details

June 22-25, 2026

  • Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
  • Closing Ceremony: Thursday at 2:30PM
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
  • Daily Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

BASKETBALLS

Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

PACKING LIST

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
