Join Head Women's Basketball Coach Scott Lagas and his expert staff at Mercy University for an elite training experience in summer 2026. This girls' basketball camp is specifically designed to sharpen your technical fundamentals—including shooting precision, agile footwork, and elite ball-handling—while building the mental resilience and self-assurance needed to dominate on the court

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Director

    Scott Lagas enters is in his eighth season as Head Coach in 2025-26. The team is presently in contention for a conference championship with a record of 13-1 and a NCAA tournament bid. Mercy continued its success under Lagas in 2024-25, going 18-10 overall and 11-5 in ECC play. The Mavericks qualified for the ECC Championship for the fifth straight year and advanced to the Semifinals for the second consecutive year.

    Lagas led the Mavericks to another historic season in 2023-24. Mercy went 20-10 overall, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1985. Lagas guided the Mavericks to their most wins since 1985, their most ECC wins (12) in school history and their first appearance in the ECC Championship Final. Mercy also posted their best regular season finish (second) in the ECC in program history and Lagas was named ECC Coach of the Year and Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division II Women's Coach of the Year. Lagas has coached 11 all conference players , 2 preseason players of the year , a rooking of the year and a defensive player of the year in his time at Mercy.

  • Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
  • Closing Ceremony: Thursday at 2:30PM
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
  • Daily Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

BASKETBALLS

Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

PACKING LIST

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

Training will take place in the newly renovated Victory Hall Sports Center, a premier NCAA regulation facility that is fully air-conditioned to ensure a cool and comfortable environment during summer sessions. This professional-grade gym features high-end hardwood courts and modern athletic amenities, providing the perfect setting for high-intensity skill development.
