Head to Windsor, CO this summer 2024 and train with Coach Chris "Lethal Shooter" Matthews and Coach Sam Jones! The camp is open to boys and girls of all abilities for a week of high-energy drills, encouraging instruction, and scrimmages all formulated to help improve your confidence in the game and increase your basketball IQ.

Lethal Shooter's coaching will give you unprecedented access to the coaching that NBA and WNBA athletes go through to perfect their shot. The Complete Skills Camp is not only a shooting camp. It helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

Camp Director Chris "Lethal Shooter" Matthews

Chris Matthews, also known as “Lethal Shooter”, is the most sought-after shooting coach in the world. Coach Matthews has had the privilege of working with numerous NBA and WNBA athletes to perfect their shot - including Jaylen Brown, Grayson Allen, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and more.

Prior to becoming a professional shooting coach, Lethal Shooter played basketball internationally in France, Russia, and China. Matthews played collegiate basketball at St. Bonaventure and Washington State University after graduating from National Christian Academy in Maryland. Matthews has set countless shooting records throughout his career, which is how he got the nickname “Lethal Shooter”. As a positive digital influencer for youth, Coach Matthews works with brands such as Nike, NBA2K, Red Bull, Playstation and more to impact the community.
Camp Director Sam Jones

Sam Jones is currently a consultant and Director of the Nike Basketball Academy. Jones has spent the past two seasons with Colorado State as an assistant coach. Prior to that he spent 2 seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers as a player development coordinator after having been on the coaching staff of the NBA G-League's Cleveland Charge for three seasons from 2016-19, the last as associate head coach.

Jones started his coaching career in The Netherlands, working with Den Bosch Eiffel Towers for three years as an assistant coach before taking over as head coach of Den Bosch SPM Shoeters (club changed names). With SPM Shoeters, he led his team to the Dutch Basketball League and NBB Cup crowns in 2014-15 and Dutch Basketball Supercup title in 2015-16. He also spent his final three years in the Netherlands as the associate head coach with the Dutch Men's National Team.

Prior to coaching, Jones played 10 seasons in Europe, including playing in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Spain and Cyprus. During his time playing, he won two titles with Den Bosch Eiffel Towers and appeared in multiple All-Star games.

A 2000 graduate of Northwood University with a bachelor's in business management and a minor in marketing management, Jones scored 1,324 points in his career with the Timberwolves, which ranks 16th in their record book. He is Northwood's all-time leader with 256 career steals, including the single-season record with 74 in 1999-2000. He also ranks third in career assists, having led the team in season assists three times while also averaging a team-best 16.3 points per game his senior season. He attended high school at Alan B. Shepard in Palos Heights, Ill., where he was named to the 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame class.

BASKETBALLS

Nike Versa Tack Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $30. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
