Join Nike Bonifay and Luke Gromer for basketball training in summer 2026! This day camp in Springdale, AR, offers dynamic drills, competitive games, and expert instruction to help you refine your skills and take your game to the next level. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, compete, and have fun!

The Jr. Basketball Camp is geared towards athletes that are learning the game of basketball. Athletes will work on mastering the fundamentals of basketball at an age appropriate level through a mix of drills, games, and competitive play.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Camp Director

    Luke Gromer is a NIKE Basketball Camp Director and the founder and president of RYG Athletics. RYG Athletics operates some of the highest-rated NIKE Sports Camps, serving hundreds of athletes across the country each summer.

    Luke has been coaching basketball for 10 years across the high school, junior high, and youth levels. He has over 15 years of experience working at, leading, or directing summer camps.

    Luke is passionate about helping athletes have better experiences in sport and using sport as a vehicle to teach athletes the leadership and mindset skills they need to thrive in sport and life.

    Luke also created and hosts The Cutting Edge Coaching Podcast where he has conducted over 100 interviews on effective coaching with some of the top coaches, sports psychologists, experts, and leaders from across sports. Additionally, Luke delivered a TEDx talk titled, The Missing Ingredient in Youth Sports where he outlined how we can provide better experiences in sport to youth athletes.

    Luke holds a bachelors and masters degree in education. He lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife and three young children.

    Nick Bonifay

    Camp Director

    Nick is an Assistant Coach at the University of Montevallo, a Division II program competing in one of the most competitive conferences in the country. He played five years at Oklahoma City University, serving as a two-year team captain and earning Academic All-American honors all five seasons. He also received the Coaches Award in 2023–24 and 2024–25, recognizing his excellence in academics, leadership, community involvement, and work ethic.

    Nick brings extensive coaching experience across multiple levels. He has worked with Thunder Youth Basketball, affiliated with the Oklahoma City Thunder, running camps across the state. Nick has also coached AAU teams with Summit Basketball Academy in Oklahoma City. For the past six years, he has provided individual skill development in both Alabama and Oklahoma. Additionally, from 2020-2022, he served as a basket instructor for Point Guard College basketball camps.

    Nick coaches because he loves basketball — the strategy, competition, and the pursuit of improvement. He also values the opportunity to mentor young athletes, using the game to teach character, leadership, and life skills. “I see coaching as a sacred responsibility — one that goes far beyond wins and losses. A coach can be one of the most impactful figures in a young person's life. My job goes deeper than creating better shooters and passers. I want to use the game to create better people.”

    Parents and players can expect a coach fully committed to development on and off the court. Nick focuses on building habits, skills, and mindsets that help athletes succeed in basketball and life, emphasizing dedication, teamwork, and consistency in every session.

    Co-Director

    Clay Moser has been coaching basketball for 42 years across the professional and collegiate levels. Moser spent eight years with the Los Angeles Lakers as an assistant coach and scout from 2011-2019. Moser also had multiple division one coaching stops.

    He spent three years as an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas from 2019-2022, and he was an assistant coach at NC State with Jim Valvano for two seasons. Moser also had coaching stops internationally, at the junior college level, and in the NBA developmental league. Moser has also served as a keynote speaker and basketball clinician for coaches in 15 countries.

  • Complete Skills: June 29 - July 3
  • Jr. Basketball Camp: June 29 - July 3
COMPLETE SKILLS CAMPER HOURS
  • Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
  • Camp Wrap-up: Friday at 12pm
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers need to pack a lunch each day.
  • Camp Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM, FRI 9AM-12:30PM
JR. BASKETBALL CAMPER HOURS
  • Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
  • Camp Wrap-up: Friday at 11:30AM
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers will depart prior to lunch.
  • Camp Hours: MON-FRI 9AM-12PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning/afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

LATE PICKUP/SUPERVISED SCRIMMAGES

Late Pickup/Supervised Scrimmages is offered from 3pm-4pm, Monday-Thursday for $55 for the week. This option can be added on during registration. Please note, this option is only offered for Complete Skills campers.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

PACKING LIST

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
