Opening with the campus in 1954, the Johnson Family Practice Center, known for decades as the Physical Education gym, was renovated during the 2011 off-season. The Johnson Family Practice Center is now a dedicated training facility. After 57 years of wear and tear, the “old” gym became a first-class practice facility. The renovation included a brand new ceiling, floor, lighting, a sound system, acoustics and scoreboards. In 2014, the final touches were put on the project, as newly-created championship banners, representing the storied individual and team accomplishments of all three programs, were hoisted to the rafters.
