Our Florida basketball camp at USF is designed for players of all skill levels. Come train and compete against other skilled players and take your game to the next level before the 2026 season.

The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Abel Varnadore

    Camp Director

    Abel Varnadore is the Head Basketball coach at Palmetto High School. During his 3 years as the Tigers head coach - Palmetto has accumulated 3 straight #1 finishes in the district to end the regular season. In addition - Palmetto won the 2023 district championship, and have reached the Regional Semi - Final of the FHSAA state tournament twice. Abel - has won the class 6A District 10 coach of the year Twice (2022, 2024).

    Previously - Abel coached at IMG Academy as the Junior National Head Coach and as a national team assistant. In his three years as IMG’s Jr. National Head Coach… The Ascenders finished with a 44-11 record. As an assistant - Abel was a part of the 2019 Geico National Championship - IMG Academy’s first ever national championship in any sport.

    Abel - Along with all members of IMG’s National Championship team and staff.. Was awarded the governors sports award - An award given for major contributions to sport in the state of Florida by the governor in 2019.

    Overall - Abel has a passion for coaching .. And is a big believer in how the game of basketball can positively impact development in all areas.

2026 CAMP DATES

  • Complete Skills I: June 15-19
  • Complete Skills II: June 22-26
  • Check-in: 8:30am on Monday
  • Check-out: 12pm on Friday
  • Daily Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm, Friday 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Meals: Lunch is provided for all campers Monday-Thursday. Campers depart prior to lunch on Friday.
  • Program: The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE CAMP FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Monday-Thursday: Lunch is provided Monday-Thursday. Campers depart prior to lunch on Friday.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: All campers will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt and prizes.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and years of experience
  • A/C in Gym: Yes
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

PACKING LIST

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
