Nike Basketball Camps is excited to offer its newest location in Salt Lake City at Westminster University. The camp combines top-tier instruction with an unforgettable summer experience. Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at Westminster, provides an incredible opportunity for campers to learn from amazing coaches. The camp staff is comprised of dedicated college coaches, high school coaches, and collegiate athletes who are committed to helping campers improve their skills and create memories that last a lifetime. The camp is open to boys and girls, ages 12-17.
The Overnight Camp includes daily instruction, games/competitions, overnight accommodations, all meals, FUN evening activities and more. The amazing camp staff resides in the dorms in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. The camp utilizes the Behnken Field House at Dolores Eccles Athletic Center, where the Westminster University teams play!
The Day Camp option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.
The camp is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender.

Camp Details
June 17-21, 2024
Overnight Campers Check-in: Monday between 7:30am-8am in front of Behnken Field House
Day Campers Check-in: Monday between 8am-8:30am at Behnken Field House at Dolores Eccles Athletic Center
Orientation: Orientation will take place on Monday from 8:30am-8:45am
All Campers Closing Ceremony: Friday at 12pm at Behnken Field House at Dolores Eccles Athletic Center
OVERNIGHT CAMPERS
Campers will reside in Hogle Hall dorms on campus and will stay 2 campers per room. Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual and received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
Bathrooms: Shared
Linens: Not provided. Please bring twin XL sheets or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase and a towel.
Air-conditioning: Yes
Room Key Deposit: $50 (Please bring a check made out to "Next Athletes, LLC")
SUPERVISION
The staff reside in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and participate in all activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund
DAY CAMPERS
On the first day of camp, all day campers should arrive dressed and ready to play.
Day Camper Hours and Meals:
Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch or cash to buy lunch on campus.
Daily Hours: MON 8:30AM-4PM, TUES-THURS 9AM-4PM, FRI 9AM-12PM
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Daytime training sessions
- Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus, evening activities and all meals
- Day campers: Instruction and daytime activities only. Lunch is not included
- Supervision: Staff members reside in adjacent rooms to the overnight campers and participate in all activities
- Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camp t-shirt and prizes on a merit basis.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY
- Ratio: Max of 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
- Equipment Needed: Please bring your own basketball shoes and athletic clothing
- Facility: Behnken Field House at Dolores Eccles Athletic Center
Parent/Camper Seminars:
Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 7:30-8:30pm each night at Behnken Field House for evening seminars. Guest speakers include college coaches, college recruiting experts, current and former collegiate athletes, and our sports psychology director.
BASKETBALLS
Nike Versa Tack Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $30. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

OVERNIGHT CAMP
- Weather-appropriate clothing for 4 nights/5 days
- 1-2 pairs of broken in basketball shoes
- Running or athletic shoes
- Athletic clothing
- Non-running shoes
- Water bottle
- Sunblock
- Small gym bag/backpack
- Pajamas/Sleepwear
- Swimsuit and easily identifiable towel
- Flip flops
- Toiletries
- Bath towel
- Pen and paper for guest speaker notes
- A notepad or journal
- Spending Money ($50-100)
- Linens (twin sheets & blankets or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase)
- Signed Heath & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)
DAY CAMPERS
Checklist of Things to Bring: We recommend Day Campers bring a daily pack with the following items: extra athletic clothing, 1-2 pairs of broken in basketball shoes, water bottle, sunblock, small gym bag/backpack, extra spending money ($50) and any other appropriate clothing for that day’s activities which will be described to you on the first day of camp.
CAMPER EVALUATION
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
