Nike Basketball Camps
Nike Basketball Camps is excited to offer its newest location in Salt Lake City at Westminster University. The camp combines top-tier instruction with an unforgettable summer experience. Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at Westminster, provides an incredible opportunity for campers to learn from amazing coaches. The camp staff is comprised of dedicated college coaches, high school coaches, and collegiate athletes who are committed to helping campers improve their skills and create memories that last a lifetime. The camp is open to boys and girls, ages 10-17.
This Day Camp operates 9:00am-4:00pm and includes instruction, live game scenarios, and fun competitions for prizes. The camp utilizes the Behnken Field House at Dolores Eccles Athletic Center, where the Westminster University teams play!
The camp is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. Campers must bring their own lunch.

Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of Nike Sports Camps. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, athletic development experience for each child.

Basketball Director Josh Pike
Josh Pike is the head coach for the girls basketball team at Judge Memorial Catholic High School and serves as the basketball director for Next Athletes.

Klowie Pike is a current student athlete at Lewis & Clark Community College and is excited to serve as a support staff member for the Nike Basketball Camps at Westminster University.
Camp Details
June 9-12, 2025
- Check-in: Monday between 8am-8:30am at Behnken Field House at Dolores Eccles Athletic Center
- Orientation: Orientation will take place on Monday from 8:30am-8:45am
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch or cash to buy lunch on campus.
- Closing Ceremony: Thursday at 3:30pm at Behnken Field House at Dolores Eccles Athletic Center
- Daily Hours: MON 8:30AM-4PM, TUES-THURS 9AM-4PM

- Ratio: Max of 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
- Equipment Needed: Please bring your own basketball shoes and athletic clothing

BASKETBALLS
Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST
To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!
CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.
We recommend campers bring a daily pack with the following items: extra athletic clothing, 1-2 pairs of broken in basketball shoes, water bottle, sunblock, small gym bag/backpack, extra spending money ($50) and any other appropriate clothing for that day’s activities which will be described to you on the first day of camp.
CAMPER EVALUATION
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
COMPANY POLICIES
If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
