Improve your game and have serious fun
at Nike Basketball Camps

Nike Basketball Camps is excited to return to Salt Lake City, UT in 2026. Hosted at Westminster University, campers have a unique opportunity to train under the direction of amazing coaches, experience campus life, and make lifelong memories. The camp utilizes the main gym at Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center on campus at Westminster University.

The day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only.

The Nike Basketball Camp in Salt Lake City is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. The coaching staff is subject to change. The camp is not owned, sponsored, controlled or endorsed by Westminster University.

    Basketball Director

    Josh Pike is the head coach for the girls basketball team at Judge Memorial Catholic High School and serves as the basketball director for Next Athletes.

    Josh is a UHSAA State Champion coach, having brought home a title for the Bulldogs in 2022 as well as two runner-up finishes in 2017 and 2020.

    Assistant Site Director

    Payton Brown serves as an assistant site director for Next Athletes and Nike Sports Camps. Payton is currently a Division II baseball coach at Adams State University and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration. Payton supports all sports and serves as an additional contact for camp families.

    Payton Brown formerly pitched for Adams State Baseball and is now an assistant coach for the program. Payton also earned the academic honors below as an athlete:

    Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at York College

    Tori Gittens is an assistant coach for York College of Pennsylvania Women’s Basketball and serves as a lead coach for Next Athletes and Nike Basketball Camps.

    Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at York College

    Tori Gittens begins her first season as a graduate assistant coach for women's basketball in 2024-25. Gittens joins the Reddies' bench after a standout senior campaign for Henderson on the hardwood in 2023-24, where she helped lead the Reddies to their first Great American Conference Tournament Championship in school history. As a fifth-year senior, Gittens started all 32 games, averaged 10.7 points per game, and led all 3 NCAA divisions at 50.8% from beyond the 3-point line (64-for-126). She was the 2024 GAC Newcomer of the Year, an Honorable Mention All-GAC selection, and a GAC Elite Scholar-Athlete.

    Prior to her lone season at Henderson State, Gittens spent four years at NCAA Division I Charleston Southern, where she played in 108 games and was a 2020-21 Big South Conference All-Academic Team honoree.

    Gittens received both her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with and emphasis on Strength and Conditioning, as well as her Master's Degree in Physical Education and Sport Coaching, from Charleston Southern.

    Camp Administrator

    Westy McQueen is the owner of Next Athletes and serves as a camp administrator for Nike Sports Camps. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth sports programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, athletic development experience for each young athlete.

    Westy is a Positive Coaching Alliance certified coach, U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach, and personally specializes in volleyball, soccer, golf, and football. Westy is the camp administrator for the Nike Sports Camps at Westminster University, Boise State University, University of Denver, Loyola Marymount University, UC Santa Barbara, California Polytechnic State University (SLO), Cal State San Marcos, Bend, OR, and University of Puget Sound.

Camp Details

GENERAL CAMP INFO

  • Camp Dates: June 1-4 & June 8-11, 2026 (Mon-Thurs)
  • Ages: 10-17
  • Gender: Coed
  • Options: Day Camp (9:00am-4:00pm)
  • First Day Check-In: Please use the campus map if you have any questions.
  • Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers only. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch each day.
  • Apparel: All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.

DAY CAMP (9:00AM – 4:00PM)

This camp also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only.

PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS

Both campers and parents are invited to join us for educational seminars on Tuesday evening. The location and schedule will be announced prior to camp. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and more. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Extra athletic clothing
  • 1-2 pairs of broken-in basketball shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunblock
  • Small gym bag/backpack
  • Extra spending money ($50)

BASKETBALLS

Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

DAY CAMPER CANCELLATION POLICY:

This policy applies to all non-overnight campers and clinic participants. If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid.

ALL CAMPER CANCELLATION POLICY (within 24 hours):

After the 24-hour cancellation window has expired, no refunds or vouchers for camp fees paid will be issued for voluntary withdrawal, schedule conflicts, or behavioral dismissal. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive any voucher or refund. Vouchers will be considered for cancellations due to family emergencies, illness, or injury upon receipt of required documentation such as physician's notes, medical records, etc.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
