Coach Jim Tomey brings over 30 years of coaching experience to San Diego in summer 2023 at Alliant University SportCenter, formerly held at Francis Parker School. Join him and his impressive staff for this boys only day camp, and hone in on your basketball skills in a competitive and focused environment.

Camp Director Jim Tomey
Coach Tomey begins his 32nd season of coaching basketball in San Diego County. Francis Parker is Coach Tomey's third stop in the past 30 years. 15 years were spent coaching at the University of San Diego High School, where at the end of his tenure, Coach Tomey was inducted into the San Diego County Hall of Champions as a high school coaching legend.View Jim Tomey's Bio & Basketball Tips ⟩
Jim came to Parker in 2005 and currently holds the position of Middle and Upper School Physical Education Teacher and Boys Basketball Head Coach. Prior to joining Parker, he spent 13 years coaching basketball at University of San Diego High School, where he was inducted into the San Diego County Hall of Champions as a High School Coaching Legend. Jim also served three years as a member of legendary basketball coach Steve Fisher’s staff at SDSU and three years as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at SDSU.
Jim has led the Lancers to several CIF San Diego Section finals, including a championship in 2010. He has also led the Lancers to the Southern California Regional Championship games in 2007 and 2010.
Jim and his wife Annemieke have three daughters, Lauren ‘09, Maddie ‘11, and Suzanna ‘13.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

● Small gym bag/backpack
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
