  • I had a great time at the Nike Webster University camp! I really enjoyed all of the shooting games, meeting new friends who share my passion for basketball. I also had a great dorm experience. I look forward to attending again next year.

Logan also really appreciated the end when they received player evaluation sheets filled out by the coaches and also awards when the camp was over. The Offensive Skills Camp focuses on offensive skill enhancement within the framework of team play. Emphasis is placed on shooting, dribbling, and footwork.

    Camp Director

    Chris Bunch enters his 20th season in 2021-22 as the head men's basketball coach at Webster University. During his time with the Gorloks, Bunch has led the men's basketball program to eight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships, including taking home back-to-back league titles in both 2018-19 and 2019-20.

    In addition, he has been chosen the SLIAC Coach of the Year six times ( 2004-05, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2011-12, 2018-19 and 2019-20) and was also awarded the D3Hoops.com Central Region Coach of the Year in 2013-14 after leading Webster to a 20-8 overall record, a SLIAC Tournament championship and a berth in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

    Entering the 2021-22 season, Bunch's record stands at 287-194 overall with eight regular season SLIAC titles and six Coach of the Year accolades. The Gorloks are also 221-83 in SLIAC play during coach Bunch's tenure, the best mark of any conference school in that span, including going 35-9 in league the past three years. Last season, Webster went 4-6 overall in a COVID ridden year and 4-4 in the SLIAC play. In the 2019-20 season he led the Gorloks to both regular season and SLIAC Tournament titles while advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014.

    Bunch is the all-time winningest men's basketball coach in Webster history and had led the program to eight SLIAC regular season titles, three SLIAC Tournament titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances (2011, 2014 and 2020). He is the fourth longest active tenured coach in the SLIAC entering the 2021-22 season.

    Before coming to Webster, Bunch was an assistant coach at Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn. In addition to his collegiate experience, Bunch served as a high school head basketball coach for seven years in his native state of Tennessee. As a high school coach, Bunch won 100 games and had two teams that were ranked in the Top 10 in the state of Tennessee.

    Bunch is a 1988 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education and a Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision which he received in 2002.

    He and his wife, Christine, reside in Kirkwood, Mo.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

Webster's home campus, located in Webster Groves, Missouri, a picturesque suburb of St. Louis, is an ideal setting for summer camp. Campers will hone their basketball skills daily at Grant Gymnasium.

Since it's grand opening in 1992 Grant Gymnasium has served as the home for Gorlok Athletics. The facility holds games for Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, and Volleyball along with numerous other Athletic Department events and student activities.
