Join Coach Jennings and her elite coaching staff for unforgettable experiences at the Nike Girls Basketball Camp at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida! Designed for girls ages 8–15, this camp is the perfect opportunity to grow as a player, build confidence, and have a blast doing it!

Throughout the camp, athletes will develop their shooting, footwork, and ball-handling skills through fun, competitive drills and personalized instruction. Players will also learn how to strengthen their mental toughness, improve on-court decision-making, and become more confident leaders — both on and off the court. With an exciting mix of skill sessions, team competitions, and fun activities, this camp offers the perfect balance of high-energy training and serious fun! Whether you’re just starting out or preparing for your next season, Coach Jennings and her staff will help you take your game to the next level.

    Head Coach

    Special Jennings enters her third season as head coach of the Jacksonville University women’s basketball team in 2025–26, continuing to build a strong foundation for the program. Over her first two seasons, the Dolphins have recorded a 25–37 overall mark (14–20 in ASUN play), showing steady growth and competitiveness in the conference.

    Jennings has already made a significant impact, mentoring standout players such as Edyn Battle, who earned ASUN Newcomer of the Year honors and was named First Team All-ASUN in back-to-back seasons. She also guided Saniyah Craig to a unanimous selection on the ASUN All-Freshman Team, along with Third Team All-ASUN recognition. Craig finished the season as the only player in the ASUN to average a double-double in conference play and ranked top 10 nationally in rebounding.

    Jennings was hired in April 2023 after a dominant three-year run at Montverde Academy, where she won back-to-back GEICO National Championships, went 68–6, and developed 16 future Division I players, including McDonald’s All-Americans. She was also a Naismith Coach of the Year finalist and coached at the USA Basketball NIKE Hoops Summit.

    Before Montverde, she coached at UIC (Associate Head Coach), Flagler, and Augusta, and began her college coaching career at Wright State. Jennings is a Cleveland native and former Xavier point guard, where she started 115 straight games, won four Atlantic-10 titles, and made an Elite Eight run in 2010. She also played professionally in Finland and Germany before moving into coaching.

    Diego Torres is in his second season with the Jacksonville University women’s basketball program, where he serves as an assistant coach. A rising leader in player development, Torres has played a pivotal role in the growth of several standout student-athletes, including Edyn Battle (First Team All-ASUN, Top 15 nationally in scoring), Sanyiah Craig (Top 10 nationally in rebounds per game, single-season school record holder), and Priscilla Williams (quadrupled scoring average, Top 5 in blocks).

    Prior to his promotion, Torres served as a Graduate Assistant during the 2023–24 season. In that role, he supported all aspects of the program—including practice planning, film breakdowns, scouting reports, and individual player development—while also conducting detailed film studies and performance evaluations.

    A native of Oregon, Torres previously worked with the University of Oregon women’s basketball program as a male practice player, training alongside elite collegiate athletes such as Sabrina Ionescu, Satou Sabally, Te-Hina Paopao, Jaz Shelley, and Ruthy Hebard. He also worked within the Oregon Athletic Department, gaining valuable experience in marketing, event operations, and fan engagement.

    Torres earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, with a minor in Sports Business, from the University of Oregon. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership at Jacksonville University.

    Kimeria Burks

    Director of Basketball Operations

    Coach Burks joins the staff in Jacksonville after an impressive collegiate career spanning North Carolina Central, Daytona State College, and Illinois-Chicago. At North Carolina Central, she earned All-MEAC honors in both the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons, averaging over 11 points per game across two years. She ranked among the conference leaders in three-pointers and scoring, highlighted by a career-high 34-point performance with 10 made threes—one of the best single-game marks in school history. Before NCCU, Burks starred at Daytona State College, where she earned First Team All-Central Conference honors, averaging 12.8 points per game. She began her career at Illinois-Chicago, appearing in 35 games and ranking among team leaders in scoring and rebounds. A native of Chicago, Burks was a standout at Harlan Career Academy, earning Illinois First Team All-State, All-City, and Red South All-Conference honors while leading her team to a historic state championship appearance.

ELITE SKILLS HOURS
  • Check-in: Saturday at 8:30AM
  • Closing Ceremony: Saturday at 3:45PM

  • Daily Hours: SAT 9AM-4PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
  • Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
