Clement Hamel

Born in France, Clément Hamel has had an impressive career in tennis, both as a player and as a coach.

At the age of 8 the French Federation of Tennis identified Clement as a top prospect and he continued this early success throughout his junior career by always being ranked in the top 15 in his age group before he moved to the USA to play college Tennis. He earned a 95% scholarship to Division 1 Stetson University in Florida and played all 4 years at the number 1 and 2 positions.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Stetson, Clement earned a master's degree at Seattle University where he is currently the Assistant coach of the Men's tennis team. He brings international coaching experience to the Nike Tennis Camp as he previously worked at Mondeville USO in the city of Caen, France. At Mondeville he was responsible for managing the High Performance Tournament Training Group which included on court group sessions and travel to tournaments as well as post match analysis.

In the USA he has been a private teaching pro in the city of Deland, Florida and has coached players of all levels.

He is excited to bring his experience and expertise to the Nike campers so he can help them improve and develop a passion for the game.
