Adam Gostomelsky

Goalkeeper Coach

Adam Gostomelsky - Goalkeeper Coach

Adam Gostomelsky joined the IUPUI men's soccer staff in August 2022 as the program's Director of Operations and Goalkeeper Coach. Gostomelsky, a Carmel-native, comes to IUPUI after a five year playing career as a goalkeeper at Northeastern University.

Prior to IUPUI, Gostomelsky was the team operations intern for local USL Championship side Indy Eleven, where he completed video analysis of each match, contributing to the coaching staff's subsequent training plans. In addition, he also worked extensively with the goalkeepers, assisting the goalkeeper coach in all facets of training.

At Northeastern, Gostomelsky earned the 2020 Male Scholar Athlete of the Year honors and served as Vice President on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee while helping the program achieve their first double-digit win season in nearly a decade in his fifth year on the field.

Off the field at Northeastern, he helped found and later served as the CEO/Co-Editor in Chief of The Red & Black, a magazine highlighting all things related to Northeastern Athletics. Under his leadership, the staff grew from 10 to 50 individuals and he negotiated a 35 percent budget increase that led to an increased print circulation of over 1,200 issues a semester and ultimately was featured on the NESN television program "Tales of the Howlin' Huskies."

Gostomelsky will assist the IUPUI coaching staff in all administrative facets of the program, including performance analysis, game modeling, and logistical operations, while also training the goalkeepers.

Gostomelsky earned his degree in business administration from Northeastern and will complete his USSF 'D' License later this fall.
