Alan Berrios

Head Coach Women's Soccer & Camp Director

Alan Berrios - Head Coach Women's Soccer & Camp Director

Coach Alan Berrios brings a championship pedigree, high‑level collegiate expertise, and more than a decade of transformational player development experience to Nike Soccer Camps. A proven program builder, Berrios has guided teams to conference titles, NCAA Tournament appearances, national rankings, and record‑setting seasons across multiple levels of the game. Known for his tactical mastery, strong defensive organization, and ability to elevate players to all‑conference and MVP status, he has established himself as one of the most impactful coaches in the Big Sky and beyond. His deep background, from NAIA powerhouses to Division I excellence, gives campers access to a coach who not only wins, but consistently develops confident, polished, and intelligent athletes ready for the next level.

Coach Berrios enters the 2025 season leading Northern Arizona University with a 22‑15‑13 record, contributing to his 61‑59‑20 overall head coaching résumé. After taking over NAU midway through 2022, he immediately revitalized the program, guiding the Lumberjacks to a 7‑2‑4 finish, a Big Sky regular‑season title, and a Big Sky Tournament Championship, earning Big Sky Coach of the Year honors. Under his leadership, NAU made history by winning both titles in the same season for the first time ever and returned to the NCAA Tournament.

His success continued into 2023 as NAU posted an impressive 11‑6‑3 record, the team’s best since 2014. Seven Lumberjacks earned all‑conference honors, including Allie Larsen, who became the program’s first Big Sky Defensive MVP in more than a decade. NAU also secured its first Power‑5 victory since 2001 with a 3–2 win over Oregon.

In 2024, Berrios again pushed the program forward, coaching four players to All‑Big Sky honors, with Haylee Phoenix earning the conference’s Golden Boot. NAU closed the season strong to earn its third straight conference tournament appearance under his leadership.

Prior to returning to NAU, Berrios delivered a standout 17‑2‑1 season at Southeastern University, capturing both the Sun Conference regular season and tournament titles, defeating the nation’s No. 1 team twice, and reaching the NAIA National Quarterfinals as the No. 2 seed. His earlier coaching stops include key roles at Dixie State, Arizona Christian University, where he became the winningest coach in program history, and successful postseason runs with the University of Tampa and University of South Florida.

Beyond the college game, Berrios brings extensive club experience across Florida and Arizona, where he has shaped players at every stage of development and built strong defensive and technical foundations within top‑level youth programs.

With his championship mindset, elite coaching background, and proven ability to inspire athletes, Coach Berrios gives campers the chance to learn from one of the most accomplished and respected soccer minds in the region.
