Alex Kramer

Director

Alex Kramer - Director

Alex Kramer joined the Wildcats ahead of the 2022-23 season as the Volunteer Assistant Coach.

Kramer comes to the Main Line after spending a year at Eastern as the catching coach and assistant hitting coach while also being involved in player development and recruiting. He takes over the role following the departure of Scott Nestor who took the head coaching position at Claflin University.

“We are very excited with the addition of Alex to our coaching staff,” Mulvey said. “Alex is eager to help guide our student-athletes and help them individually as well as our program collectively towards our goals.”

His one year with the Eagles saw the team raise its batting average by 25 points and both the on-base and slugging percentages by 50 points from the year prior. Beyond that, the unit also dropped its strikeouts per game rate and increased its home run total from 10 in 2021 to 32 in 2022.

Kramer spent two years ahead of his stint at Eastern as an assistant at Stockton University where he worked with outfielders and hitters and was also active in recruiting. While there, the Ospreys had a breakout season in 2021 with four wins against top-25 programs and multiple wins in the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs.

During his time at Stockton, Kramer also served as an instructor and head of business development at the All-Star Baseball Academy in Cherry Hill, N.J. As the instructor, he led player development efforts and coached travel teams.

Kramer was a graduate of Wilkes University where he also played baseball. He played at a variety of positions in the 77 games he appeared in.
