Alex Vokes Macpherson
Camp Director
Alex Vokes Macpherson brings elite coaching expertise across both youth and collegiate soccer, combining proven player development with a track record of competitive success and leadership. Entering his fourth season as Head Coach of the Regis College women’s soccer program, Alex is widely respected for his ability to develop complete players, technically, tactically, and personally, both on and off the field.
Alongside his collegiate role, Alex serves as the Camps & Community Director for New England Surf, overseeing programming that connects youth players with high‑level training environments and clear development pathways. He holds a USSF “B” License, along with UEFA and LMA coaching qualifications, underscoring his commitment to excellence and modern coaching standards.
Since taking the reins at Regis in 2022, Alex has led the program to historic success, including setting a new single‑season conference wins record in his first year. Under his leadership, Regis student‑athletes have earned 12 All‑Conference honors, multiple All‑Region and All‑New England selections, and numerous academic accolades, reflecting his emphasis on high performance and holistic development.
Prior to Regis, Alex served as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at UMass Lowell, where he was part of the America East Coaching Staff of the Year and helped guide the program to host the conference tournament. He also spent two seasons at Boston University, contributing to a Patriot League Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance, while helping develop players who progressed to the professional and national team level.
Alex’s coaching journey also includes international experience with Celtic Football Club, where he worked as an International Partnership Executive implementing elite academy methodologies across North America. Earlier collegiate stops include Franklin Pierce University and Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he helped lead Wentworth to its first‑ever conference championship and NCAA Tournament win.
