Amy Christian is currently the Varsity Assistant at Blue Valley North High School under head Coach Matt Allin. In the three years she has been there she has helped the team to achieve a first, third and second place finish in the KSHSAA State Tournament respectfully.
Coach Christian has been a long-standing figure in the greater Kansas City volleyball community for 30+ years. She was a teacher and coach in the Lee’s Summit School District for 16 years, having the opportunity to coach at Lee’s Summit North and Lee’s Summit West High School. In addition to coaching high school, Coach Christian also coached club. She was club director for KC Extreme for eight years, then merged with MAVS to form Extreme MAVS where she coached for an additional 6 years.. She moved away to Colorado from 2015 - 2021. While in CO she was the head volleyball coach at Fountain Fort Carson High School and started a club volleyball program.
Coach Christian is currently coaching the 10 Elite team for PVA and runs their Volley Tot program for 5 - 9 year-olds. She retired from teaching in 2015 and is a Real Estate agent for Keller Williams Kansas City North. She has one daughter, Kaitlyn, who played volleyball at the University of Oklahoma.
