Before UC Santa Cruz, Jensen was Head Coach, Director of Tennis, and created a popular Junior Academy at Mills College. Prior to, she found success as the Women's Head Coach at the University of Denver.

Amy Jensen is the Head Coach for the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs. In her first year at the helm the Slugs were conference champions and earned a berth into the NCAA Tournament. Jensen is also a Tournament Director for USTA NorCal, and she is also a part time analyst for the Pac-12 Network.

Before UC Santa Cruz Jensen's experience includes Head Coach and Director at Mills College, Player Development Manager at USTA NorCal, and also Head Coach at University of Denver where she accumulated a 63-18 overall record and was named consecutive Conference Coach of the Year.

Jensen also served as Associate Head Coach at UC Berkeley from 2001-2006. While at Cal she helped facilitate the development of 9 All American players, 2 final four teams, and 2 NCAA Champions.

As a player, Jensen was a 5-time All-American at the University of California as well as a NCAA record holder, winning 3 consecutive NCAA doubles titles in 1998, 1999, and 2000. She was inducted into the Cal Athletics Hall of fame in 2011. She was also recently named to the Pac-12 All Century Team, as well as named Pac-12 Double Team of the Century (with Amanda Augustus).

As a junior Jensen played at the Aussie, French, and US Opens, as well as Wimbledon. As a professional, Jensen held WTA rankings in singles and doubles and played in both the US Open (1998, 1999, 2000) and Australian Open (2001).
