Amy Patton

Patton joined the staff in the spring of 2019 and is also the head coach of the New England Command of the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL). She also brought with her collegiate coaching experience, primarily at the Division I level.
During the summer of 2018, Patton guided the Command to the WPLL League Championship. She has also worked numerous campus and clinics over her career.
Patton led Dartmouth to 13 NCAA Tournament appearances, nine Ivy League championships and four NCAA Semifinal appearances in 24 years with the Big Green (1993-2016). She has also served as the head coach of the U.S. Women’s National Developmental team. Patton was selected as the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I National Coach of the Year in 1998. Her players garnered numerous accolades, including All-American laurels as well as a national player of the year and a national defensive player of the year.
Patton is a 1988 Maryland graduate where she earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education. She was a four-year letterwinner in both lacrosse and field hockey for the Terps, earning both All-America and All-ACC accolades. She was a member of Maryland’s 1986 NCAA national championship lacrosse team and earned the Terps’ scholar-athlete award.
