Andrew Burr, the 2013 and 2017 SoCon Coach of the Year, is in his 24th season with Furman and 17th as the program's head coach...

Burr, the winningest coach in the history of Southern Conference women’s soccer, was handed the reigns of the Furman program in December of 2004 and has built on the program's tradition of excellence by posting a 209-90-25 overall record and 101-37-19 SoCon mark while guiding the Paladins to four SoCon Tournament crowns, four NCAA Tournament appearances and three league regular season titles.

Burr led Furman to its eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history in 2020-21 after winning the school’s seventh SoCon Women’s Soccer Championship, compiling an 8-1-2 overall record and 6-0-2 league mark. The Paladins climbed to as high as No. 29 in the College Soccer News Top 30 and No. 9 in the NCAA RPI. Furman had six players earn All-SoCon honors led by Player of the Year Isabella Gutierrez and Freshman of the Year Nieva Gaither.

Prior to entering the coaching profession, Burr ranked as one of the most heralded players in Furman soccer history. In 1997, he was inducted into the Furman University Athletic Hall of Fame for his invaluable contribution to Furman's soccer program. With 50 goals and 19 assists, Burr ranked as the Paladin's all-time leader in goals scored and points. He is a three-time All-Southern Conference selection and two-time member of the NSCAA All-South Region team. A forward, Burr helped Furman to three Southern Conference regular season titles and two Southern Conference Tournament titles.
