Annie Showalter - Camp Director

Annie Showalter joined the Lawrence University swimming and diving coach staff in July 2022.

A native of Ann Arbor, Mich., Showalter was a standout swimmer at the University of Wisconsin and earned All-America and All-Big Ten honors during her career with the Badgers. A 2016 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Showalter (née Tamblyn) earned bachelor's degrees in English literature and communications arts. Showalter was an Academic All-Big honoree in 2016.

Showalter, who is the first full-time assistant in the program's history, capped her collegiate career by earning All-America honors in the 200-yard freestyle relay at the 2016 NCAA Championships. She was a two-time All-American in 2015 as she picked up honors in 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay.

Showalter earned All-Big Ten honors in 2014, 2015 and 2016. A four-time Big Ten champion, she was part of four relay teams that won conference titles. At the 2015 Big Ten Championships, Showalter teamed up to win the 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. Showalter also helped set Wisconsin and Big Ten records in the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.

Prior to joining the Lawrence staff, Showalter was a swim coach and fundraiser for Tri 4 Schools in Madison, Wis. She also served as a coach and camp counselor for the University of Wisconsin Swim Camps during her time as a student-athlete for the Badgers.

An Ironman Wisconsin finisher in 2018, Showalter worked at Filene Research Institute, first as a leadership team administrator and later as an incubation/i3 associate, from 2017 to the present.
Showalter's husband, Zak, also was a standout collegiate athlete and starred for the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team.
