Anthony Szymel
Technical Director
Anthony grew up in the Chicago area playing for a number of clubs in the area, attended Lewis University and was the starting goalkeeper for three of his four years with the program, ultimately earning Scholar All-American honors his senior season. After college he immediately got into coaching and has been doing so ever since with over 16 years of experience at the club, high school, and college levels.
For the past three years Anthony has headed up the Chicago Red Stars Camps and Clinics programming and has grown the program continuously adding new camps, new locations, and new dates throughout the Chicagoland area.
Anthony feels very strongly about the Red Stars camp programming and feels that it is a necessity for young female soccer players to have a space they can call their own, connect with female soccer coaches, and have the opportunity to work with and interact with professional players from the Red Stars*. This is a great opportunity for all players, from beginners to advanced, to enjoy the game!
