Ben is currently head women's golf coach at Metro State University following several years as assistant men's and women's golf coach for the University of Northern Colorado.
Ben is currently head women's golf coach at Metro State University following several years as assistant men's and women's golf coach for the University of Northern Colorado. He has assisted Brad with the Nike Jr. Golf Camps at Boulder since 1999. Prior to his coaching duties at Northern Colorado, Ben was the assistant coach at University of Colorado ('07 - '08) and has taught at various golf clubs since the late '90s.
As a player, Portie holds the title of 2011 South Dakota Open Champion as well as the 2011 Colorado Open Champion. He has qualified for a number of PGA and Nationwide Tour events, including the US Open, US Amatuer and US Publinks Championship. Ben brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Nike Golf Camps and he looks forward to helping junior golfers improve their games this summer.
