Bob Kotowski is the PGA Director of Instruction and Owner of The Olde School Golf School and serves as camp director for the Nike Junior Golf Camps at Zaca Creek.

An accomplished PGA golf instructor and personal coach to over 10,000 students, Bob Kotowski has over 50 years of hands-on, “dig it out of the dirt” golf history. Bob has a diverse and extensive golf and athletic background, as well as formal education and mentoring from some of the greatest golf instructors in the world. During Olde School Golf School sessions, Bob makes a genuine and caring effort to communicate a better understanding of the game of golf to every player, providing instruction with individual attention to each player’s unique style and abilities in a comfortable and productive environment.

Bob has served as the Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, and Director of Instruction at several clubs and golf schools. In addition to coaching over 30 men’s and women’s golf, hockey and baseball teams, he dedicated 20 years as a college golf instructor. His philosophy has evolved through years of preparation and play in over 500 professional tournaments, countless clinics and lessons, and in association with some of the games’ greatest players and instructors. Bob’s students range in age from junior golfers to super seniors, and all receive the benefit of his thousands of hours of experience.

Bob has a long list of prominent students and mentors. He made it a point to seek out and garner advice, direction, and high performance habits common to great achievers, including PGA Pros Bill Train, Olin Dutra, Eddie Noak, Laird Small, Jack O’Keefe, Gary Player, Larry Mowry, Mike Souchak, Al Geiberger, Paul Harney, Bob Tway, Mike Bender; baseball greats Ernie Banks and Pete Rose, and hockey greats; Jean Beliveau, Gilbert Perrault, George Johnson, Tommy McGinnis and John Havlicek. His process is to look for, and note common denominators, characteristics, habits and keys shared by successful people from all walks of life, with the objective to pass it on to anyone who wishes to perform and live better.

Throughout his career, Bob was able to work with blind, disabled, and adaptive golfers, which provided the opportunity to develop The Blind and Disabled Adaptive Golf Program that helps all players, regardless of limitations. The Olde School teaching philosophy developed and refined over the years from these experiences, associations and observations of so many great players, instructors, golfers, athletes from all sports, peak performers in all aspects of life.

Kotowski’s teaching and coaching philosophy has developed over the years and continues through these experiences with the greatest influence being the guidance and direction of the great Bob Toski. “Mr Toski is the foundation of my teaching.” His unique combination of personal ability, hands-on learning, experience, knowledge of the swing, playing the game, and genuine concern for the growth and performance of the student, make Bob Toski the greatest golf instructor of all time. He is engaging, entertaining, able to capture complete focus from the student, and ultimately identify, and communicate to the individual, exactly what he or she needs to do to improve and enjoy this great game better. Time spent with Mr. Toski is a life lesson as well as a golf lesson!

The Olde School Golf School objective is to perpetuate the Toski Philosophy, which is shared by all of the best instructors in the game. It’s all about the complete enjoyment of this great game. Relax, have fun, enjoy the environment and your friends. Learn to play better by understanding and practicing solid fundamentals, developing feel, timing, rhythm, balance, routine, self-control, comfort, and confidence.
