Brett Cauchi

Co-Director

Brett Cauchi - Co-Director

Coach Cauchi is entering his first year as Head Coach for the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs, following five years as an Assistant Coach with the Folsom Lake College women’s basketball program.

Cauchi’s main roles with the Falcons included: recruiting, player development, practice planning, film breakdown and editing, youth and skills camps, and academic success.

2022-23 was a record-breaking year for FLC as a program. The Falcons finished 23-7 (an 11-game turnaround from the previous year). This season saw the program jump to their highest ranking, #8 in the north and #13 in the state. With that, they earned the #8 seed in the CCCAA playoffs, having a first-round bye. After a second-round win, the Falcons fell in the Sweet Sixteen to Northern Region champions and state runner-up.

Prior FLC, Cauchi played two years at Solano College before transferring to play at Linfield College (Oregon), then began his coaching career at Chico State while he finished his bachelor’s degree in English. After graduating from Chico in 2014, he stayed on staff another year to gain more coaching experience before travelling overseas to Barcelona, Spain to teach English and coach basketball. Cauchi then coached one year at Dixon High School as Head JV Boys coach and varsity assistant, helping guide the Rams to their best record in over 30 years, going 23-7 overall and making it to the state playoffs.

Cauchi also has worked camps all over the country. He recently completed his Master’s Degree in Intercollegiate Athletics and Education-Leadership in Coaching from the University of Washington. He also served as the Director of Youth Development at Shoot360 El Dorado Hills and operates his own basketball leadership and training business, Brett Cauchi Basketball.
