Brian Kitamura

Brian Kitamura

Brian Kitamura was named Whitman's head coach in May of 2015 after serving as an assistant coach for five years. Since taking over at the helm of the program, the Blues have climbed in the conference standings and seen an increase in wins every season.

Kitamura brought the program to new heights in 2019, guiding the Blues to the program's first Northwest Conference tournament title and the leagues automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. The Blues opened against then 6th-ranked Chapman before falling to the eventual national champions in a thrilling five-game series.

He has led the program through one of its most successful stretches in school history since the 1950s.
