Brian Miller is the former Men's Head Coach at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Miller, who served as an assistant coach from 2011-17, was named the head coach following the 2017 season.

In eight years with UCCS, Miller holds a record of 72-59-15 and has helped the team achieve a postseason bid to the RMAC Tournament in all eight seasons.

The 2018 season marked the 10th time that the Mountain Lions have recorded a double-digit win season as they finished 10-6-3 with an 8-4-2 conference record. UCCS went on to make the RMAC Tournament as the No. 5 seed where the Mountain Lions lost in the RMAC Semifinal match, but not before beating Regis University in the quarterfinal match 5-3. Junior Alex VonHolle went on to be an Academic All-American and a Second Team All-American for the 2018 season, earning the first All-American award since 2014. The Mountain Lions also had five All-RMAC selections and nine RMAC All-Academic selection.

UCCS closed out the 2017 season with a 7-8-4 overall record and a No. 5 seed in the RMAC Tournament with a 7-4-3 league record. The Mountain Lions season ended in a 0-0 tie against No. 4 seed MSU Denver in the quarterfinal round (MSU Denver advanced on penalty kicks). The Mountain Lions recorded 12 players to the RMAC All-Academic team, led by Blake Barnes who was voted to the CoSIDA all-district team. The RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year, David Meyer, led four Mountain Lions on the All-RMAC team, while Conor Langenbahn and Jake McAllister received all-region honors.

In 2016, the Mountain Lions finished the regular season with the third best record in the league - 10-4-0 - and a 12-7-1 overall mark. David Meyer was named the RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year and Derek Sauiner was named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year. Meyer and Saunier helped the Mountain Lions earn 10 shutouts, which was tied for first in the RMAC. Saunier was also named to the NSCAA all-region team. Six Mountain Lions notched all-conference accolades and six garnered RMAC All-Acadmic honors, led by Cort Searls who was voted to the academic all-region team.

The Mountain Lions tied for second in the RMAC in 2015 and tied the program win record with a 13-5 mark. UCCS placed five student-athletes on the All-RMAC teams and the Mountain Lion defense allowed a program-low 18 goals. UCCS finished sixth in the NCAA Division II South Central Region ranking and in the top 10 of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America regional poll.

In Miller's fourth season, the Mountain Lions finished as the runner-up in the RMAC Tournament after a shootout to colorado Mines in the championship match. The Mountain Lions finished with an 11-7-2 record and scored a program-record 47 goals. He was nominated for NSCAA South Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year and was on the staff as Head Coach Johnnie Keen earned RMAC Coach of the Year accolades.

In 2013, the Mountain Lions placed three student-athletes on All-RMAC teams and one on the NSCAA All-Region team. In 2012, UCCS placed fourth in the RMAC and hosted the first playoff game in program history.

Miller's first season of 2011 under former Head Coach Henry Ellis saw UCCS post a 7-6-1 conference record and reach the RMAC Tournament for the first time since 2003. The Mountain Lions had four student-athletes on the All-RMAC lists.

The Chippewa Falls, Wis., native was a four-year letterwinner at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh from 2006-10. He played in 74 matches during his four seasons and led the Titans to a 56-15-10 record with 17 goals and 16 assists. UW-Oshkosh advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament in his sophomore and senior seasons. He scored five goals and recorded nine assists to lead the Titans to the national semifinals in San Antonio during his senior season, and scored the game-winning goals against Wartburg and Whitworth to push UW-Oshkosk to the Sweet Sixteen round as a sophomore. He was named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team in 2010 and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Region Team.

In 2009, Miller was unable to play due to medical reasons and took on the role as an assistant coach for the Titans. As an assistant coach, Miler helped the Titans to a 13-4-2 record and a top 25 national ranking.

Miller finished his career at the UW-Oshkosh by receiving his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in wellness promotion. In 2014, Miller received his master’s degree in counseling and human services with an emphasis in school counseling from UCCS. Miller also has his USSF “C” Coaching License.
