Brittney Williams is entering her third season as the Head Softball Coach at Southern University.
Before joining SU, Williams was the head coach at East Ascension High School for two years. Prior to East Ascension she coached at Zachary High School for three years and helped the team reach the state championship game two out of three years she was there.
Coach Williams comes from a sports family, her sisters were student athletes at LSU along with her brother being a student athlete at Belhaven University. Her eldest sister is the current head coach at the University of Illinois, not to mention her parents are both graduates of Southern University.
Coach Williams is a two-time graduate from Western Kentucky University. (2009 and 2013). Where she was a four-year letterman at WKU for the softball team. She was an Academic All-American and named outstanding graduate student at WKU.
Brittney was the valedictorian and senior class president at Northeast High School in 2006.
Coach Williams is a Baton Rouge native and is married to Tasmin Williams who is a Homebound Teacher for East Baton Rouge Parish Schools, and they have three children: Marlee, Tia and Tasmin Williams II.
