Cami Lara plays catcher for Biola University Softball and serves as a support staff member for Next Athletes and Nike Softball Camps.
2024
• Appeared in 16 games for BU
• Logged three RBIs on three hits
• Academic All-PacWest
2023
• As a true freshman she played in 19 games with 10 starts primarily as a pinch hitter
• Filled in as the Eagles' catcher in six games
• Batted .219 with seven hits and two doubles
• Batted in seven RBIs
• Ended the season with a .605 OPS and a .324 on-base percentage
• Helped her team secure second place in the PacWest Conference, which is their highest conference finish in program history
• Helped Biola reach the NCAA Division II West Regional
HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped four varsity seasons at Millikan High school, graduating in 2022
• She helped her team to win league 2021 and 2022, and led them to be cif finalists in 2022 season
• Hit .381 with a .552 on-base percentage during her senior season
• Earned all-league second team honors
• Made the honor roll from 1st - 12th grade
PERSONAL
• Born May 24, 2004 to Antonio and Felicita Lara
• Plans to major in Kinesiology and enter the medical field
• Has three siblings (Sophia, Ophelia and Emilio)
• She loves crocheting
• Her sister, Ophelia, wrestled in college and won a state title
• Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 16:3
• Why I Chose Biola: "Because I really like the program, it's close to home and I like the environment."
