Carlos Escobar

Coach Escobar has been the varsity girls' soccer coach at SI since 2001.
Coach Carlos Escobar began teaching Spanish and coaching soccer at St. Ignatius in 2001. He served as the JV coach from 2001-2009. This will be Coach Escobar’s 7th season as the varsity coach.
Coach Escobar’s playing experience includes 3 years as the varsity goalkeeper at St. Ignatius from 1993 – 1996 and 2 years as a walk-on at Dartmouth College. Coach Escobar continues to stay active in the local S.F. soccer scene and takes pride in educating young people to seek harmony, discover their personal legend, and be an agent of positivity through the beautiful game of soccer.
He resides in San Francisco with his wife, Carrie and his daughter Camila.
