Chris aslanian princeton mens lacrosse coach

On staff this summer is Chris Aslanian. A dominant attackman at Hobart and now a consistent scorer in the Premier Lacrosse League, Chris has been with the Princeton program since 2020. During his time at Princeton, the Tigers have gone 24-12, reached two NCAA tournaments, played in one Final Four, won an Ivy League tournament championship and finished the season with a top three national ranking twice.

Aslanian runs the box on gamedays, but his most important contribution is his work with the Tiger goalies, especially his daily shooting sessions. That work, in turn, has helped him become one of the better shooters with the Cannons of the PLL.

A two-time All-Northeast Conference attackman, Aslanian began his college career by earning the 2016 NEC Rookie of the Year award and ended it by winning the the Francis L. "Babe" Kraus '24 Memorial Award as Hobart's top male senior athlete.

He finished his career with 192 career points, with 98 goals and 94 assists, and he ranks seventh all-time at Hobart in points, as well as 18th in goals and seventh in assists.

As a senior he won Hobart's Crook Family Award, which is presented annually "to the member of the lacrosse team whose leadership, outstanding play, sportsmanship and all-around value to the team have proved to be superior."

Aslanian had a 42-point rookie season (22G, 20A) for the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse in 2019, when he helped his team to the MLL championship game while becoming a finalist for the MLL's Rookie of the Year award. He also played for the Outlaws in the 2020 season, when he was fifth in the league in scoring while again helping the Outlaws to the championship game. He spent the 2021 outdoor season with the Whipsnakes of the Premier Lacrosse League, helping the team to the championship game.

A native of Westfield, N.J., Aslanian graduated from Westfield High School and then spent a postgraduate year at the Hun School of Princeton. He graduated with a degree in economics.
