Jamie Clark

Jamie has over a decade of coaching experience and 26 years of playing experience.

Last year, her 17-UA team finished runner-up at the OKRVA Regional Championship and qualified for Nationals in Detroit where they finished in the top 50.

In 2003, she began coaching 16-1s for Intensity Volleyball Clubin Philadelphia. She took over the Choctaw High School volleyball program in2008 and also began coaching club volleyball for Oklahoma Peak Performance. In2009, she won a national championship in the Youth division as an OklahomaRegion High Performance coach. While at OP2, she won two regional championships(2009, 2011), including an unprecedented championship with a club’s second team(15-2s). During this time she also served in the coaching pipeline for U.S.Women’s Sitting Volleyball and traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad as anassistant coach and team leader. She has been USA Volleyball CAP I and CAPII-certified and in 2010 she became the first Oklahoma coach to earn a BCAP Icertification for beach volleyball. She transitioned to collegiate volleyballin 2011 as the Graduate Assistant for UCO while earning a Master’s degree inExercise Science. This is Jamie’s forth year with Charge after serving as the Head Coach for14-UA and as Assistant Coach for 16-UA the past two seasons.

As an athlete, she was a three-time state champion for Santa Fe High School, Metro Conference MVP, and Daily Oklahoman Co-Player of the Year before going on to play for University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) where she served as team captain her senior year.

Jamie is currently finishing her PhD in Health and Human Performance at Oklahoma State University and her research interests include athlete issues such as sport specialization, sport burnout, post-collegiate transition, and sport support relationships with parents and coaches. She ismarried to Kimo Aweau and they have two daughters, Kailea and Kalani.
