Julian Olarte is the girls' volleyball coach at Victoria Fertitta Middle School.
Julian Olarte is a dedicated and passionate volleyball coach committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the court. As the Girls Volleyball Coach at Fertitta Middle School since 2021, he has led his teams to consistent success, including an undefeated Division Championship season in 2024–2025 and a semifinal appearance in the 2025–2026 CCSD Divisional Playoffs.
In addition to his middle school coaching experience, Coach Olarte has coached at the Freshman and Junior Varsity levels at Palo Verde High School, helping athletes develop their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game.
Coach Olarte emphasizes player development, communication, sportsmanship, and building a positive team-first culture. With experience as a high school volleyball player at the Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels, along with continued participation in competitive recreational leagues, he brings both knowledge and passion to the game.
