College of the Sequoias
Curtis Allen served as the head track & field coach and assistant football coach at College of the Sequoias from 2002 to 2017. During his tenure, he achieved remarkable success, including leading the COS track & field program to a state championship for the men’s team in 2017. From 2014 to 2017, both the men’s and women’s teams consistently achieved Top 5 finishes in state competitions.
Allen coached Deajah Stevens, who became a 2016 Olympian and won the 2017 USATF 200m championship. Stevens also secured California Junior College championships in both the 200 meters and 400 meters in 2015. Additionally, Allen coached Quincy Hall, a former College of the Sequoias athlete who went on to win bronze in the men’s 400m and gold in the men’s 4x400m relay at the 2023 World Championships. Hall is currently competing as an athlete in the 2024 Olympic Trials in the men’s 400 meters.
