Daniel Swier

Dan Swier has built one of the most successful eras in Northwestern College men's soccer history, leading the Raiders since 2008 and becoming the program’s all-time winningest coach Under his leadership, Northwestern captured the 2025 GPAC title—its third trophy in the last five seasons. His teams have consistently ranked among the conference’s best, finishing in the top five of the GPAC eleven times and qualifying for the conference tournament 16 times in 18 seasons, including a streak of 14 consecutive appearances.

A former standout player for the Raiders himself, Swier understands the dedication and discipline required for success at the collegiate level. His impact extends beyond the field, producing over 100 All-Conference players, 66 NAIA Scholar-Athletes, and five Academic All-Americans, while leading his team to NAIA Scholar Team recognition for eleven straight years. In 2021 and 2025, his excellence was recognized as he was named GPAC Coach of the Year. With a Master’s in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas at Arlington, Swier blends tactical acumen with a deep commitment to player growth, shaping not just great athletes, but well-rounded individuals ready for success beyond college.
