Danny Castillo

Danny Castillo ‘20 joined the Hood College men’s soccer coaching staff for the fall of 2020 after completing his playing career with the Blazers.
Castillo was a four-year starter and a three-year captain for the men’s soccer team. He was named an All-MAC Honorable Mention in 2016. Castillo recorded over 200 saves in 52 games.
He holds the record for the most career shutouts with 10. He also holds the record for most goalkeeper wins with 22.
Castillo was named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll in each of his four years. He was named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week twice in his college career. He was also inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national student-athlete honor society, in 2018.
In 2019, Castillo earned multiple awards at Hood’s Honors Convocation, including The Hood College Retailing Club Prize and The Dr. Henry P. and Page Laughlin Award.
He graduated from Hood in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in marketing. He also works as an admissions counselor for Hood.
