Lead Assistant
D'Armon Washington
Coach D’Armon Washington is the Camp Director and CEO of Washington Elite Athletics (WEA). He is a passionate and deeply caring coach who wants to see all student athletes succeed both on the field and off the field.
Coach Washington has coached for several years and has touched the lives of many young people, earning 3 youth football championships throughout the years. Coach Washington began his coaching career in youth football in his hometown of Charlotte, NC. He has coached almost every age group in youth football and is currently the Head Football coach at Sedgefield Middle School. During his tenure at Sedgefield Middle School, Coach Washington has led the team to a 10-3 record over two years playing with no more than 13 players.
As Camp Director of WEA, Coach Washington takes an active role in player development. WEA is dedicated to providing sports training in Charlotte and the surrounding areas by organizing and hosting various sporting events including training camps and tournaments. WEA camps are facilitated by Division I & II college coaches and average 150-200 kids at each camp. Additionally, WEA is a NCAA approved recruiting and scouting service. The motto is “to bring the coaches to the kids”. Coach Washington uses his NCAA coaching connections to put some otherwise overlooked kids on college radars. WEA’s main objective is to train athletes to participate and nurture their sense of pride and spirit of competition; while our ultimate goal is to provide inner city children the same opportunities to train and compete at a high level in an environment they might otherwise not have access to.
