David Mervis

David Mervis begins his first season on the University of Delaware baseball staff during the 2022 season as Volunteer Player/Pitching Development Coordinator.

Mervis made six appearances on the mound including five starts for the Blue Hens during his lone season in Newark in 2021, striking out 20 batters in 18 innings of work.

He played the previous two seasons at West Chester, compiling a 5-1 record in 2019 before adding one victory during the 2020 campaign. Mervis began his collegiate career at VCU, redshirting his true freshman year before pitching one inning in 2018.
Additionally, Mervis played professionally for the Washington Wild Things in the Frontier League, as well as the Billings Mustangs in the Pioneer League.
