Delaney Clesen
Delaney Clesen is the Assistant Volleyball/Beach Volleyball Coach at Eckerd College.
Clesen joined the Eckerd staff in August 2021 as an assistant beach volleyball coach and in March she was named the Assistant coach for both the indoor and beach squads. She enter her second season on the Tritons' staff entering the 2022-23 season.
Prior to Eckerd, she spent the previous season as an assistant coach for both indoor and beach volleyball at Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater, in addition to coaching with the Optimum Beach Club in St. Petersburg. She spent the 2018-19 season as a coach with the Chicago Sand Volleyball Club.
Clesen had a stellar collegiate career for both indoor and beach volleyball. She was a four-year Libero at the University of Pittsburgh, playing in 126 contests while posting 1,602 digs. Her digs rank second all-time in Panther history, and her aces rank 10th. She was named to the All-ACC Second Team her senior year while also playing for the USA Collegiate National Team in 2014.
She played two seasons of beach volleyball at Florida Atlantic University with an overall record of 26-14. She finished the 2016 season 18-9 and garnered AVCA Honorable Mention All-American Honors.
Clesen has also played among the professional ranks with Team Exterminators based in Minneapolis in 2017, VBC KERZERS in Switzerland in 2017-18, the Association on Volleyball Professionals (AVP) in 2018-19, and currently with AVPnext.
Clesen graduated from Pittsburgh in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Media and Professional Communications. She received her master's degree in School Counseling from Florida Atlantic University in 2016.
