Camp Director
Dione McCrea, known affectionately by her athletes and students as “Coach D” recently propelled her girls’ team at Saint Anthony’s High School to a 28-1 overall record and a CIF-Southern Section championship.
Coach D’s coaching experience extends to club level (girls 18s) and Varsity and Junior Varsity boys teams at Campbell Hall. With a history of working at Volleyball Camps around Southern California and being the Coordinator at a Residential Camp for students with special needs, Coach D has an extensive depth of knowledge that spans across a variety of players.
Coach D is a graduate of Cal State Los Angeles, where she was a dual sport athlete playing on both Volleyball and Track and Field teams. She led the team in kills per-game and earned all-league honors. Her team was 30-0 and ranked #1 in D2 in the year 2000. Coach D holds #4spot on solo blocks in 1 game (16) and holds the #4 spot on total assist blocks (8).
In addition, Coach D earned her Physical Education Teaching Credential in 2011 and currently works as an Adaptive PE Teacher in Irvine, California while also holding the role of assistant coach for the Saint Anthony’s boys team. She helped coach the team to its best session finish in the last eight years. During summers, Coach D works as a Beach Volleyball Coach teaching private lessons and can be found playing tournaments.
