Duncan Love - Coach

Duncan Love played for a number of clubs in England (UK), as a Striker, before going on to gain a BSc. (hons.) Sports Science degree at UWIC (now called Cardiff Met University.)

It was here that Duncan began his coaching journey gaining his UEFA B Licence and became one of the youngest coaches in the country to hold it.
Duncan then went onto Captain his University first team and played in the semi-professional league of Wales which is now called the Welsh Premier League.
Duncan also completed the first part of the prestigious UEFA A license.

Duncan then arrived in California and was hired as the Girl's program Director of RSMSC. Duncan then went onto to play for the LA Galaxy in the MLS Reserve League and then he played for the Southern California Seahorses in the PDL (Premier Development League.)

He also completed the USSF B National license and then became one of the youngest coaches in America to hold the prestigious USSF A License.
Duncan has also worked for Cal South as an ODP staff coach and as a scout.

Duncan also had University/College coaching spells, firstly at Cal State Fullerton as an assistant coach of their Women's team and then at UC Riverside, for two years, again as an assistant coach of their Women's team.

Next Duncan went to the National Powerhouse San Diego Surf Soccer Club to coach full-time on the Girl's program under the guidance of his first coaching mentor who was Colin Chesters.
Duncan then joined the Southern California Blues who were the number one girls club in America at the time to work with his other mentor the legendary Tad Bobak.
Under Bobak's guidance they won a National Championship together in 2007 as Duncan was Tad's assistant coach.
They coached together for a number of years at the So Cal Blues winning all the major titles, with Bobak as the head coach and Duncan as the understudy assistant coach.

Duncan then founded his own club called South County Premier Soccer Club and he was also the Director of Coaching and he held this position for 7 years.
Additionally he also founded two big and successful tournaments called the South County Premier Cup and the Champions Cup OC Tournament.

Duncan then moved on to take a position at Cardiff City football club back in the UK in the Championship League as a performance analyst and he worked with the Under 21 reserve team whilst completing his Master's degree in sports performance analysis with a specialism in professional football/soccer.
Duncan also stayed with the club as they were promoted to the English Premier League.
Duncan then went on to coach in the WSL (Women's Super League) for Bristol City Women's professional team where he coached under Willie Kirk as a first team coach.
After a management change Duncan then went onto to have a brief coaching stint at Leicester City FC Women's before landing a coaching position at Aston Villa FC on their Women's team working with their development squad and reserve team.

Duncan has also worked as a coach educator for the FAW (Football Association of Wales), and has also contributed to coach education modules with the English FA as an invitational guest coach educator.
